Edward Watson, national expert on digital innovation in higher education, shared insights and concrete approaches to teaching with AI on Sept. 9, 2024, at Northwestern University during a talk titled, "Preparing Students for Life Beyond College: Embracing AI as Essential Learning." With the support of the Office of the Provost, the Searle Center for Advanced Learning and Teaching is making the keynote discussion available to the Northwestern community on Panopto.
AI Safety and Harm
In 2024, the Northwestern Center for Advancing Safety of Machine Intelligence (CASMI) launched a YouTube series called "AI Safety and Harm." AI and Teaching
When generative AI became available in late 2022, faculty at Northwestern addressed the challenges and opportunities that the large language models presented for university courses.
