On Oct. 5, Teaching and Learning Technologies and the Searle Center for Advancing Learning and Teaching co-hosted a discussion entitled, "Ethics and Speculation in the Age of AI," with AI expert Casey Fiesler, associate professor of Information Science at University of Colorado Boulder. Summer 2023
Before the start of the 2023-24 academic year, Teaching and Learning Technologies and the Searle Center for Advancing Learning and Teaching co-presented a series of workshops for faculty and instructors to learn how generative AI is changing the classroom. AI@NU + I.AIM Connections Event: "Exploring Opportunities at the Intersection of Healthcare and AI"
This event was held June 7, 2023 and included demonstrations, discussions, and engagement with colleagues and practitioners across Northwestern. The goal was to explore the potentials of and risks for generative AI in the medicine and healthcare space, building connections that may lead to future research, grants, and publications.
