Connecting Computer Science and Journalism
Artificial intelligence is also at the forefront of projects in The Knight Lab, a collaboration of the McCormick School of Engineering and the Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications. The Knight Lab is a community of designers, developers, students, and educators working on experiments designed to push journalism into new spaces. They are best known for their innovative suite of open-source, adaptable, and lightweight tools for media makers, including TimelineJS, a tool that enables anyone to build visually rich, interactive timelines.
